Jenny will have a new potential love interest named Asher, a dog walker she meets in this script excerpt.

I’m hearing from an extremely reliable source that a male character on Gossip Girl will be revealed to be of the gay persuasion when the show returns on April 21. Who? Can’t say. Won’t say. It’s too good a surprise. I will, however, offer five tantalizing clues.

• This person may or may not be pictured above.
• The revelation significantly impacts the lives of at least three people.
• The aftershocks will be felt on both sides of the East River.
• Some viewers will be surprised by the twist, others not so much.
• In the Gossip Girl novels, Dan was known to be a bit of a switch-hitter — which isn’t so much a clue as it is a fact. A misleading fact? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

    If it is Chuck I will stop watching. That would make no sense. The only person it would work with is Erik.

    I think it is Dan or Erik. It’s not Chuck. He doens’t really matter on the West Side. Dan does and Erik kind of does if he and Jenny are still friends. I don’t know but that’s what I think.

    I hope you are right, but I would be upset if Dan and Serena broke up. Why build up a great couple and the break them up? I hope it is Erik

    Ok…so I think it’s Erik…it will affect Serena,Lily and Jenny…
    It can’t be Dan…he’s so in love with Serena!!!

    I’m thinking Erik, too. I would be really surprised if it’s Dan. I guess the idea of an Erik/Jenny matchup is fading away with this revelation (probably) about Erik, and they’re already lining up another guy for Jenny -the dogwalker guy Asher. New episodes April 21st!!

    Erik for sure. It’s gotta be. After all, it was rumored for a while that he was gossip girl. It’s really the only one that would wark and makes sense.

    I think they made Chuck too much of a womanizer in the show to make him gay now!! It wouldn’t make sense… but I guess if he can’t be with Blair he wouldn’t want to be with any other girl!!

    It could be one of the girls…

    My vote is for Nate, so Blair and Chuck can be together, Eric, or Maybe Vanessa???might be the perfect way for her to get over dan

    It can be dan or serena otherwise the whole romeo juliet, great divid sortyline is gone

    I think its going to be Eric. But I really don’t care who it is. I am a fan of the show over any character or coupling. If you get your panties in a bunch or a character or a couple you will mis the rest of the show. And not let the show grow and explore new storylines.

    I just heard that supposedly Chuck is going to have a new love interest … maybe it’s him who’s gay after all!!!! GRRR I’m soo mad … not only will this result in Chuck & Blair being torn apart AGAIN … it’ll also mean that Chuck could fall for someone else .. meaning that Blair wouldn’t be the only one with the ability to change him!!!! I hope this isn’t true!!! or maybe Jenny’s new love interest Asher turns out to be gay … and falls for Chuck?? that would explain it’s effect on both sides of the ‘east river’ my head is spinning trying to figure it all out!!

    If it’s Chuck, I will stop watching the show! Blair and Chuck fo’eva! I doubt it’s Dan ’cause the majority of the show Dan and Serena’s relationship. I hope it’s Nate so Blair and Chuck can get together :D Maybe it’s Eric…that makes sense…

    I have a funny feeling it might be Chucks dad… :S It would affect Lily, Rufus and Chucks dad. :)
    (I’m kinda hoping anyway.)

    Otherwise it could be Dan or Erik but it can’t be Chuck. I’ll cry.

    I’ve been counting down for Episode 14 of gossip girl since 59 days to go, (13 to go btw ooo exiting) and i swear if chuck is gay i will be so pissed off, i’ll probs break the house down. BUT there is no way they are going to make chuck gay, he is a manwhore HE has done like every girl on the show so it wont be him. i really want to no though!!! OOO I CANT WAIT 13 MORE DAIIZ

    I really think it’s Chuck. He lost all his respect from girls so now he’s switching teams and going to hit on erik.
