“School Lies” discussion, spoilers (Update: yes, I do love Chuck)

I haven’t seen it yet but I wanted to get some comments going.

Ok just got to see it. Chuck is so evil, I feel so bad for Blair even though she obviously made a major mistake with him,

Ok just to clarify this, I think Blair and Chuck are awesome together, it’s just the circumstances that make it a mistake, being Nate’s best friend and all, so soon after they broke up, not to mention the fact that she let Nate think she was still a virgin when they got back together…but you can see how much she cares for Nate on second thought maybe she doesn’t care much for him, let alone really love him like she said, maybe she just wishes she did. You know, Vanessa saying to her that Nate’s one of the good ones made her feel like she should get Nate back.

What do you think about Blair and Nate? What would you do if you were Blair?Can’t believe Nate turned himself in for her, and he didn’t even do anything. Is that sweet or desperate?

I’m kind of mad at Serena right now even though I adore her. She didn’t want to be Dan’s step-sister (ok, understandable) and convinced her mom to just marry “what’s his name” instead of getting together with Rufus. Poor Rufus!

EDIT: This goes back to the reference to Lily’s mom having pressured her to end things with Rufus back when they were younger. Lily had to give up Rufus because of her mom, so Lily didn’t want to be putting Serena in the same position with Dan. She marrys Bart so Serena doesn’t have to become Dan’s stepsister, so she’s not doing to Serena the same thing (basically) that her mom had done to her. It sounds confusing. I guess the bottom line is she wants Serena to be happy.

Loved this: Blair going to Vanessa’s work to tell her that she just paid her rent for a year. Oh that Blair…what a girl. “Not indebted to anyone,” Blair didn’t want to have V thinking Blair owed her something for giving back the tape.

At least Serena tries to be decent and confess. Funny how she argues with Dan about the fact that she got off pretty easily. Turns out the new stepdad had made a call.  And she’s going to be Chuck’s stepsister. How sleazy is that guy, talking about taking a bath with her! Just the look on his face when he said that…gross! Chuck is a classic. LOVE him. How is he so sleazy but also so frickin’ hot and loveable?

Next episode is lookin’ good. I don’t think Blair is pregnant, just a scare to move things along, but we’ll see.

    Party time.
    B, S and company go to (sneak into) the school pool for a little bit of swimming. Almost lethal when combined with alcohol and drugs. Random guy #1 bumps head, falls into pool unconcious, blood. Others FREAK, call 911. St. Jude headmaster and new Constance headmistress question (GRILL!) all of the attendees, try to find person who had key and started party. All are told to write 10,000 word essay. All met at B’s to “write” but turns into party. V catches B and C talking… about private matters that N PROBABLY would be shocked to hear ^^. B grabs key from C, B puts key in her drawer, N finds it when he trys to give a “love letter” to B. N later claims he did it but is unable to describe the keychain the key was on, they know he’s lying. He is expelled anyway, seemingly just to show how “serious” they were about this. C bribes V with 10000 dollars, V gives him a BLANK TAPE, but he doesn’t realize. V gives B the real tape just to be a good girl. Turns out that she gave C’s money to a herpes foundation, LOL! B pays V’s rent, randomness =) S tells D she brought the key, D is way beyond being okay about it, yikes. D is called in for hs questioning, part way through S shows up, admits she did it. S is only given 25 hours community service, D questions th “double standard” and how lenient they were. S denys, her family really didn’t. Later, S tells her mom she shouldn’t date Rufus, esp. because she is DATING HIS SON! S’s mom finally agrees and accepts CHUCK’S DAD’S proposal. Talk about beyond ew-ness, S is now C’s stepsister! And it turns out C’s DAD was the one to bribe Constance’s headmistress… >=(

    So, all is ohsoweird in the UES. But that’s why we love them…

    I don’t really think Bart is a bad guy, I just don’t think he’s right for Lily. As much as I love a relationship between Lily and Rufus, it would just make a relationship between Serena and Dan just creepy. Nate was sweet for taking the blame to save Blair, but I’m just not sure how he can be convinced he loves Blair now, when he was so uncertain before . . . I guess we’ll see eventually.

    1) felt awful for Lily and Rufus… bad position they were in and the current outcome was unfortunate.
    2) naughty Serena, but i liked her speech to the principal woman in front of Dan. and what she said to her mom about what Dan is to her almost made me cry!
    3) Nate is forcing it. he is just trying too hard and its like coming across as fake and annoying. Nate and Blair have little to NO chemistry whatsoever. when Blair and CHUCK are in a scene together people PAY ATTENTION and focus and dont want to walk away. Blair and Nate in a scene?… total boredom.
    4) Chuck getting evil was because of how Blair hurt him and its the only way he knows how to react and deal. a guy like Chuck feeling jealous and hurt? yeah, someone is goingto pay for his misery. i really am hoping there is SOMETHING in the future for a Blair and Chuck reunion.
    5) what the hell was Chuck wearing at the pool? lol
    6) Vanessa was funny and not annoying in this episode. this is good news.
    7) next week looks goooooooooooood. cant wait!

    i love chuck i thought all his bad ass dissing and whorishness is so sexy i want to see him and blair together blair was so happy i think chuck still loves her and is genuinely hurt and thinks if he tells nate that nate will dump blair and blair will be back with chuck again. ed westwick is so gorgeus i could just make out with him or do more with him he is amazing i don’t lik the nate character in the show in the books its interesting cuz he is the HUGE druggie of everyone

    sorry guys but blair and nate won’t be together

    it wont work. serena and dan are going to split up cause s and n will hook up. then n and b will split up too then s will feel bad and not pursue n and then n and j will hook up and date and thennnnnnnnnnnnn d and v will be together and then c will try to convince b to get together again.

    the reason b and n cant stay together is cause it will be BORING. s and d were the “solid” couple.. they can’t have too many of those happening. especially not in GOSSIP girl. boring relationships=no gossip

    so to all you n & b lovers, get a clue. b and c are WAYY more interesting :]

    ahhh!!! no! i miss blair and chuck desperately!! i love them…theyre SOOOO much more interesting than blair and nate…b and n are just bored with each other and they need to admit it

    i felt bad for rufy and lily but i would have done the same thing if i was serena….and i kinda like bart.. i think hes funny and at least hes making a effort with serena and eric! cutie.

    can’t wait for next week!!! ahhhhh i think that nate will be really pissed off at blair b/c of chuck and her being preggers but i think chuck will come and support her making blair realize that she is..in fact..in love with my chuckie!!! <333
